TFA KC Shark Tank: Teacher Edition

Each year, teachers across the country spend $1.6B out of their own pockets to support their classrooms. While the national average teacher salary is just $47,000, this can take a lot out of a teacher's income. Teach For America Kansas City teachers will be pitching ideas for projects to improve their classrooms, schools and community. A panel of sharks made up of local corporate and civic leaders will take a bite out of this staggering figure by directly investing in these projects. Past sharks have included: Mayor Sly James, Salvador Perez, Hailee Bland-Walsh, Shirley Helzberg, Julee Jonez, Angela Cervantes and so many more. The fourth annual Shark Tank: Teacher Edition presented by Teach For America Kansas City is on October 24th at the Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland.
